Paradise School District 1923-1956

The Paradise School District was created by the Clark County Board of County Commissioners, August 6, 1923.
A bond issue for $100,000.00 was passed on March 6, 1948 at a special election, for the purpose of erecting a new school building, named Paradise School.
A bond election held July 30, 1951, passed for $75,000.00 to erect and furnish additional classrooms to the existing school building.
A bond issue was passed on April 11, 1953 for $345,000. The proceeds were used for the addition of a multipurpose room, gymnasium and lunch facility to the Paradise School.
In 1998, a new Paradise Elementary School was built on the UNLV campus. It is a regular elementary school and used for pre-service teacher training. The old Paradise School campus on Tropicana Avenue has housed several UNLV programs over the past years and is currently part of the UNLV campus.
