Transportation Growth
The Las Vegas valley has continued to grow and flourish over the decades. As the population grew and home building further expanded the city boundaries, the student enrollment of the Clark County School District also ballooned. The increased student population and new school construction promoted the need to further grow transportation services to and from schools. In an effort to meet the growing transportation challenge, additional funding and staffing was required.
Over the last ten years of growth, the percentage of the District’s budget allocated to the transportation of pupils increased by 3.5% resulting in the Clark County School District being the largest District-owned and operated pupil transportation operation in the country.
